We are living in a time of great division and polarization. We see this reality written all over our newspapers and flashed across our TV screens. We see it within our nation and throughout the world. We even see it within our churches, especially when it comes to key issues and beliefs individuals and groups hold strong, yet differing, convictions regarding. It is during times like these that we are especially called to our commitment to others and our commitment to what’s most important. And above all, to be reminded of God’s commitment to us, and how we might model that same commitment to all God’s beloved children, whom we may discover are more similar to us than we ever imagined.
You are also welcome to join us each week for our newest Wednesday night small group opportunity led by Pastor Donald in the narthex of Boonton UMC. Our theme will be “Graceful Controversies” and will be happening at 7pm every week starting Wednesday, January 23rd.
